  1. Use 1 1/2 cup All-purpose Flour
  2. Prepare 1/2 cup Cocoa powder
  3. Prepare 1 tsp Baking powder
  4. Prepare 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  5. Prepare 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  6. Prepare 3/4 cup Sugar
  7. Prepare 3 Eggs
  8. Take 100 gm Butter
  9. Prepare 200 ml Milk
  10. Prepare 150 gm Softened Cream Cheese
  11. Prepare 3-4 drops Red food colour
  12. Prepare 1/2 cup Softened butter
  13. Take 70 gm Castor Sugar or Powdered Sugar
  14. Prepare 1 tsp Vanilla extract

Beat in eggs, one at a time. Line standard muffin tins with paper liners. Whisk together cake flour, cocoa, and salt. Add eggs, one at a time, beating until each is incorporated, scraping down sides of bowl as needed.

Steps to make Red Velvet Cupcakes:
  1. Preheat your oven to 180°. In a bowl, mix together the dry ingredients. In another bowl, whisk Eggs, Sugar, Vanilla extract, Butter and Milk. Gradually, fold in your dry ingredients to the wet and whisk well to avoid the formation of lumps.
  2. Do this till you have used up the entire flour mixture. In a muffin tin lined with liners, add in a scoopful of this batter into each section. Bake this for about 25-30 minutes or till done.
  3. Take them out and set aside to cool completely. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, whisk in your Cream cheese along with the softened Butter, Sugar and Vanilla extract. Let this cool a little as well. Use this as a frosting to decorate the Muffins. Top it up with some Chocolate sprinklers as I did. Enjoy!

Mix in food color and vanilla. In a medium mixing bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, baking soda, salt and cocoa powder. In a large bowl gently beat together the oil, buttermilk, eggs, food coloring, vinegar and vanilla with a handheld electric mixer. Fluffy and moist, these buttery red velvet cupcakes are my favorite.
