Pour the milk-and-egg mixture into the dry ingredients. Add milk, egg and butter; stir until dry ingredients are moistened. In a large bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt and baking powder. Stir in egg, milk and vegetable oil until well combined.

How to cook Cornbread:
  1. Preheat the oven to 204 degrees celsius, and line and grease an 8 or 9 inch baking pan.
  2. Whisk together the cornmeal, flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk the melted butter with the brown sugar and honey together until it’s completely smooth. Then whisk in the egg until combined.
  4. Whisk the buttermilk in to the bowl with the wet ingredients.
  5. Lightly mix and combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients.
  6. Pour the batter into the baking pan and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  7. Done and ready to serve!
