Ingredients and seasonings required for make
  1. Take 500 g chicken fillets /portions
  2. Prepare 1 large onion sliced
  3. Prepare 2 tsp oil

  7. Use 2 cloves

  13. Prepare 1 tomato grated/liquidised
  14. Take 1/2 cup yogurt
  15. Prepare 1/2 cup buttermilk
  16. Use Few strands saffron
  17. Prepare 2 cups parboiled rice
  18. Prepare 2 tbs parboiled lentils
  19. Prepare 3 potatoes parboiled
  20. Prepare Curry leaves, chopped coriander, chillies

Cover and allow the spices to steam. Then stir in the Ginger, Garlic and Green Chilli. Method: Marinade chicken in masala and spices. While the chicken is marinading, pour a thin layer of oil into a large pot on medium heat.

How to make Chicken Akni:
  1. In a pot add the oil and butter then add the whole spices (cinnamon sticks, cardamom pods, cloves) allow to sizzle

  6. Add the rice, potato, lentils, curry leaves, coriander leaves and chillies, mix well
  7. Add some dollops of butter on top close pot with some foil and steam for 15 minutes on low heat.
  8. Serve with veggies, poppodams, dahi and atchar, Enjoy
  9. Done and ready to serve!
