- I cup sifted flour..4 teaspoons baking powder. ..1 cup yellow cornmeal… 1 cup milk… 1/4 cup sugar… 3/4 teaspoon salt… 2 eggs…1/4 cup softened shortening

- Add eggs, milk and shortening
- Beat until almost smooth, do not over beat
- Done and ready to serve!
