me want to share a recipe caldereta that is interesting? How to make it is indeed Very easy. If you want to make caldereta which has aroma and taste that can provoke appetite.

Many things that can affect the taste quality of caldereta, first from the type of ingredients, then selection of fresh ingredients |good, until how to process and serve. No need bewildered if want to prepare caldereta the delicious as long as you know the trick then this dish can be treat special. And worthy of serving for anyone.

Ingredients and seasonings required for prepare
  1. Take 3 pounds Chuck steak
  2. Take 2 cups baby carrots
  3. Prepare 2 cups yellow & red peppers, cubed
  4. Prepare 3 cups yellow & red potatoes, cubed
  5. Prepare 1/2 cup peas
  6. Take 2 packets Mama Sita’s Caldereta mix
  7. Use Garlic salt
  8. Prepare Pepper
  9. Use Olive oil

While similar to afritada and mechado in preparation and use of tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, and bell peppers, this hearty beef stew also includes liver spread and shredded cheese to thicken the sauce and chili peppers to add spice. This is a tasty dish from the Philippines. I live in the Philippines and this dish was prepared by my Filipino wife, it is the common recipe for Caldereta in the Philippines. It is a rich, very filling meaty dish and when served on a bed of cooked rice can be a one dish family meal.

How to cook Caldereta:
  1. Cut Chuck steak into 2” x 2” cubes
  2. Season both sides of meat with garlic salt & pepper
  3. Heat pan & olive oil on medium high heat
  4. Brown meat on all sides
  5. Fully dissolve Caldereta packets in 3 cups of water
  6. Pour Caldereta mixture over meat, reduce heat to medium low, and stir well
  7. Add carrots, stir & cover pan
  8. Let simmer for 90 minutes, stirring every 15-30 minutes, until meat is very tender
  9. Add water as needed to keep meat & vegetables submerged
  10. Turn heat up to medium, add potatoes, cover and cook for 15 minutes
  11. Remove from heat, add bell peppers and peas, and stir well
  12. Serve with garlic fried rice & enjoy!!
  13. Done and ready to serve!

Beef Kaldereta (Caldereta) is a popular Filipino stew that is served during parties and holidays. There are so many great Filipino stews and a couple of my favorites that I've shared before include chicken afritada and pinakbet. Traditionally, kaldereta is made using goat meat. Heat the cooking oil in the pan and fry the carrots and potatoes until color turns light brown. Remove the fried carrots and potatoes from the pan and set aside.
